garmin has officially launched the Fenix 9 Pro, its latest premium multisport GPS smartwatch, alongside the standard Fenix 9. The new Pro model brings a titanium case, brighter AMOLED display options, solar charging and enhanced connectivity aimed at athletes and outdoor enthusiasts.
One of the biggest highlights is battery life. The 51mm Fenix 9 Pro Solar uses a power-efficient MiP display with integrated solar charging and can reach up to 291 days in low-power watch mode under Garmin’s specified solar conditions. In normal smartwatch use, the solar model can deliver up to 57 days, while the 51mm AMOLED version offers up to 31 days.
The Pro model also introduces the first titanium watch case in the Fenix lineup. Garmin says its nano-molding construction combines metal and plastic at the molecular level, helping maintain durability while reducing the overall thickness of the watch. The device is also rated for demanding outdoor use and offers 10 ATM water resistance.
Display options include AMOLED and solar-powered MiP technology, depending on the size and configuration. The AMOLED version can reach 3,000 nits of brightness, while the largest 51mm model features a 1.5-inch AMOLED screen, 15% larger than the previous Fenix 8 display without increasing the case size.
Garmin has also expanded the watch’s smart and outdoor capabilities. The Fenix 9 Pro includes Garmin Epic, which allows users to combine multiple activities into a single shareable story with photos, health information and performance statistics. Storage has increased to 64GB, providing space for more maps and up to 7,000 songs.
Select models offer built-in inReach connectivity, combining LTE and satellite communication for voice calls, messaging, LiveTrack and SOS functionality. An active subscription is required for these services.
Pricing starts at $1,099.99 for the Fenix 9 Pro, while the 51mm AMOLED and solar versions cost $1,199.99. Garmin says orders will begin through its online store on August 28, 2026.
