Motorola has officially expanded its tablet lineup with the launch of the Moto Pad 70 Groove, a new Android tablet aimed at users seeking an immersive entertainment experience. Packed with a high-refresh-rate display, a powerful JBL-tuned speaker system, and a large battery, the latest device is designed for streaming, gaming, multimedia, and productivity.
The Moto Pad 70 Groove features a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 2560 × 1600 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The panel supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, delivers up to 800 nits peak brightness, and covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, promising vibrant colors and improved viewing quality for movies and games.
One of the biggest highlights of the tablet is its 9-unit JBL Pro Speaker System, which consists of four tweeters, three woofers, and two passive radiators. Combined with Dolby Atmos support and dedicated Dynamic, Movie, and Music audio modes, Motorola aims to deliver a cinematic sound experience. The tablet also includes a Bluetooth Speaker Mode, allowing it to function as a standalone Bluetooth speaker for smartphones and other compatible devices.
Powering the Moto Pad 70 Groove is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Users can further expand storage by up to 2TB via a microSD card. The tablet ships with Android 16 and is promised Android 18 upgrades along with four years of security updates.
For photography and video calls, the tablet offers a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. A built-in 360-degree metal kickstand supports multiple viewing positions, including Lean, Theatre, Stand, and Hanging modes, adding flexibility for entertainment and work.
The Moto Pad 70 Groove houses a 10,200mAh battery, which Motorola claims can provide up to 15 hours of YouTube streaming on a single charge. Although the tablet ships with a 68W charger, it supports a maximum charging speed of 45W. Additional features include Wi-Fi connectivity, USB Type-C, dual microphones, IP52 splash resistance, and a slim 6.8mm metal body finished in Pantone Blue Surf.
Motorola has priced the Moto Pad 70 Groove at ₹36,999 in India. The tablet will go on sale from August 7 through Motorola’s official website, Flipkart, and authorized retail stores across the country, targeting consumers looking for a premium multimedia-focused Android tablet.
