Samsung is pushing the boundaries of premium television technology with its next-generation Micro RGB TV lineup, a display innovation that is already gaining worldwide attention for its advanced colour performance and immersive viewing experience.
After earning major recognition at CES 2026 and being listed among TIME magazine’s “Best Inventions of the Year,” the company is now expanding the series with a massive 130-inch model aimed at redefining home entertainment.
The Micro RGB TV introduces a completely new display category built around micro-sized RGB LEDs used directly as the backlight system.
According to Samsung engineers, the project required the company to develop entirely new technologies from scratch because there were no existing benchmarks or industry standards to follow.
One of the biggest highlights of the television is its ability to achieve 100% BT.2020 colour gamut, a professional-grade colour standard typically found in high-end production monitors. This means viewers can experience richer, more accurate colours while watching movies, sports, and streaming content at home.
Samsung has also heavily integrated artificial intelligence into the viewing experience. The new Micro RGB Colour Booster Pro uses AI processing to analyze scenes in real time and automatically optimize colours for improved realism and depth.
The company also introduced AI Soccer Mode Pro, which enhances visuals during live sports by improving grass textures, jersey colours, and motion clarity.
The newly launched 130-inch version focuses on creating a cinema-like atmosphere inside living rooms. Samsung says its AI-powered Supersize Picture Enhancer prevents image distortion and pixelation even on extremely large screens.
To support the visuals, the TV includes a powerful 160W 10.4.2-channel speaker system designed to deliver immersive sound without external audio equipment.
Another standout feature is the Glare Free display technology, allowing users to enjoy clear visuals in both dark and brightly lit environments without distracting reflections.
Samsung believes the Micro RGB TV is more than just another premium television.
The company sees it as the beginning of a new generation of intelligent screens that combine AI, ultra-large displays, and advanced colour science to create a more connected and immersive entertainment experience for everyday users.
