Galaxy Z Fold8 Series and Galaxy Z Flip8 Set New Pre-Order Record in Europe

Samsung has achieved another milestone in the foldable smartphone market as its newly launched Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8 have become the company’s most pre-ordered foldable smartphones in Europe. The latest generation of foldable devices has received a strong response from customers, setting a new benchmark for Samsung’s premium smartphone lineup.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy Z Fold8 series and Galaxy Z Flip8 have surpassed the previous European pre-order record by more than 17%. The impressive figures come just weeks after the devices were officially unveiled during the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026. Pre-orders remained open across Europe until August 6, giving consumers a chance to reserve the new foldable devices before their official retail launch.

One of the biggest highlights of the announcement is the remarkable growth of the Galaxy Z Fold lineup. Samsung revealed that combined pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold8 and the newly introduced Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra increased by 70% year-on-year compared to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold7. The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 alone accounted for approximately 40% of all foldable pre-orders in Europe, showing strong demand for Samsung’s redesigned foldable flagship.

The company had already confirmed earlier this week that the Fold8 series and Galaxy Z Flip8 had exceeded its internal sales expectations, and the latest record-breaking pre-order numbers further reinforce the growing popularity of foldable smartphones among European consumers.

Samsung’s latest foldables introduce several upgrades, including slimmer and lighter designs, improved durability, more powerful processors, enhanced Galaxy AI features, brighter displays, and longer battery life. These improvements appear to have played a significant role in attracting both existing Samsung users and customers upgrading from traditional smartphones.

The Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8 officially go on sale globally from August 7, 2026. The devices are available in multiple storage variants, with premium pricing reflecting their flagship positioning. Industry analysts believe the record-breaking pre-orders indicate that foldable smartphones are steadily becoming more mainstream, and Samsung continues to strengthen its leadership position in this fast-growing segment.

With demand reaching an all-time high before the official release, Samsung’s eighth-generation Galaxy Z series is already shaping up to be one of the company’s most successful foldable launches to date
