vivo has officially introduced the vivo X Fold6, bringing significant upgrades to its premium foldable smartphone lineup. The latest model succeeds last year’s X Fold5 and focuses on two major improvements—a powerful 200MP camera system and one of the largest batteries ever seen in a foldable smartphone.
Designed for users who demand flagship photography and long-lasting battery life, the new foldable also receives upgraded hardware, enhanced durability, and advanced multitasking capabilities powered by Android 16.
200MP Camera and Largest Foldable Battery Yet
The biggest highlight of the vivo X Fold6 is its new 200MP ZEISS-powered primary camera, built around Samsung’s advanced HPB sensor. The camera is expected to deliver sharper images, improved low-light photography, and enhanced detail compared to previous generations.
Supporting the main sensor are a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. Photography enthusiasts can also pair the device with the optional ZEISS Teleconverter G2 accessory, extending zoom capabilities even further.
Battery life is another major improvement. The Foldable Smartphone packs a massive 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery—the largest ever fitted inside a foldable device. Despite the larger battery, the phone continues to support 80W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging for quick power-ups.
Powerful Hardware Meets Premium Display
The smartphone features a 6.5-inch AMOLED cover display and a large 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED inner display, both offering a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.
Powering the device is MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9500 Super chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and as much as 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The combination promises flagship-level performance for gaming, productivity, and multitasking.
Running Android 16 with OriginOS 6 Fold, the device introduces the new Atomic Workbench feature, allowing users to operate up to five applications simultaneously in separate windows.
Pricing and Availability
The vivo X Fold6 is available in Blue, White, and Black color options. In China, pricing starts at CNY 7,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, while the top-end 16GB + 1TB variant is priced at CNY 11,999.
Pre-orders have already begun through vivo’s official channels, with sales scheduled to start on July 1. While the company has not yet announced global availability, industry experts expect international launch details to be revealed in the coming months.
