iPhone 18 Pro Leaks Hint at Bigger Battery, 2nm Chip and New Dark Cherry Finish

Apple’s next-generation flagship smartphones are already generating significant buzz months before their official unveiling. While the company has yet to confirm any details, multiple industry leaks suggest the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max could deliver one of the biggest hardware upgrades in recent years, focusing on battery life, performance, artificial intelligence, and camera technology.

One of the most eye-catching rumors revolves around a brand-new Dark Cherry color option. According to leaked dummy units, the finish features a rich dark red shade with subtle pink undertones, offering a premium and elegant alternative to Apple’s previous Product(RED) editions. The new color is expected to join classic Black, Silver, and an updated Light Blue variant in the Pro lineup.

Battery life is also expected to receive a major boost. Reports indicate that the iPhone 18 Pro Max could feature a battery capacity of around 5,500mAh, making it the largest battery ever included in an iPhone. To accommodate the larger battery and an upgraded vapor chamber cooling system, both Pro models may become slightly thicker and heavier than their predecessors.

Performance improvements are expected to come from Apple’s upcoming A20 Pro chipset, which is rumored to be manufactured using TSMC’s advanced 2nm process. The new processor is expected to deliver faster speeds, improved energy efficiency, and enhanced AI capabilities through Apple’s expanding Apple Intelligence platform. Reports also suggest Apple may adopt a new multi-chip packaging technology to reduce latency and improve multitasking, gaming, and AI-powered tasks.

Display enhancements could further improve the user experience. Several reliable tipsters claim Apple is moving more Face ID components beneath the display, allowing the Dynamic Island to shrink considerably and provide more usable screen space without removing the feature entirely.

Photography may also receive meaningful upgrades. Leaks suggest the Pro models will retain a triple 48MP camera setup, while introducing a variable aperture on the primary sensor. This feature could automatically adjust incoming light, improving low-light photography, portrait effects, and overall image quality in different shooting conditions.

Connectivity is another area expected to improve with Apple’s next-generation C2 modem, which is rumored to offer faster 5G performance while consuming less power than the current generation.

Industry insiders expect Apple to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro series during its annual September launch event, with retail availability likely to follow later that month. While all of these details remain unofficial, the growing number of consistent leaks suggests Apple’s next flagship lineup could represent one of the company’s most significant smartphone upgrades in years.
