Fans of Minecraft’s action-adventure spin-off series have a new journey to prepare for.
Mojang has officially announced Minecraft Dungeons II, the sequel to the popular dungeon-crawling game, with a worldwide release scheduled for September 29, 2026
The newly revealed title will take players back into the Minecraft universe, but this time with a fresh storyline, new regions to explore, and a mysterious threat that is spreading chaos throughout the Overworld.
According to the announcement, strange events are occurring across multiple biomes as hostile creatures become increasingly aggressive, forcing heroes to rise once again to protect the world.
Unlike the traditional Minecraft experience that focuses on mining and building, Minecraft Dungeons II continues the action-packed formula of its predecessor.
Players will embark on a combat-driven adventure through forests, villages, ruins, and other unexplored locations while battling waves of enemies and powerful bosses.
One of the game’s key features is its extensive character customization system. Players will be able to create unique heroes using a wide variety of weapons, armor sets, magical artifacts, talismans, and legendary equipment collected throughout the adventure.
The game promises deeper progression systems and more strategic combat options than before.
Cooperative gameplay remains a major focus of the sequel. Adventurers can tackle missions alone or join forces with up to three additional players through online or local couch co-op.
The four-player team mode is designed to encourage teamwork and coordinated combat against increasingly difficult enemies and large-scale encounters.

. Several mysterious blue-energy creatures appear to play a central role in the unfolding story, although the identity of the main villain has not yet been revealed.
Mojang has also opened pre-orders for the game. Players who reserve their copy before launch will receive exclusive bonus content, including two hero skins, a special Twisted Cape, and a companion pet known as the Twisted Chicken.
With a larger world, expanded co-op features, and a brand-new storyline, Minecraft Dungeons II aims to build upon the success of the original game.
